What We Kept Running Into
Underdosed Sodium
You're losing 500–1,200mg of sodium per hour when you train. Most products replace a fraction of that. So you keep drinking. Nothing changes.
Too Much Sugar
You don't need 20g of carbs to absorb electrolytes. That's not science. That's just cheaper to manufacture and easier to sell.
No Transparency
If you have to Google what's in your drink mid-race, something's wrong. Proprietary blends exist to hide how little is actually in there.
So Here's What We Actually Did
We built UP for people who take their training seriously. This is just the next part of that.
UP started as a running brand. Still is. But the more time we spent training and talking to the people who wear our kit the more we heard the same thing.
The hydration stuff out there either feels like it was made for someone doing their first 5K or it's packed with ingredients nobody asked for. Nothing felt like it was built for people who actually put in the work.
